Ticking Along

Hi everyone,

My micro-tension draft is still going well. Today, I identified three out of my ten pages that could do with some extra micro-tension. Which means I’ve only got 130 manuscript pages left to read until I’m finished.

Yay!

I have to control myself not to blitz through it and do a shoddy job. Like I said before, slow and steady wins the race. I’m only allowed to do 10 pages a day.

I’m spending the rest of my time reading and identifying micro-tension in bestsellers.

I think the hardest micro-tension to master is warring emotions. It’s easy to get it wrong. So instead of writing micro-tension, I could be writing sentimentality. That’s why I’m spending more time reading than revising right now.

Not much to report in the books so far. I see micro-tension but I haven’t come to a learning conclusion yet. But I’m getting there.

I’ll keep you updated.

That’s it for me tonight.

Hopefully, I’ll have more to report tomorrow.

Chat to you then.

Happy writing,

Joanne.
