Internal thoughts waging war

Hi everyone,

Today I did research on agents and added micro-tension to page 368. The micro-tension I  added were her wrestling with her thoughts: what does it mean to grieve and to love?

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins  Page 368: Spoiler

This is very close to the end of the book and comes from Katniss scrambling to come up with lies and her fear that they aren’t good enough. She never says this explicitly. The micro-tension for the reader is one of anticipation: Will she say the right thing? Will it be well received?

Legendborn by Tracy Deonn: Page 368: Spoiler

On this page, Bree isn’t able to handle the truth. She doesn’t want memories but she must live with them. The micro-tension comes from: feel pain v’s escape it.

 That’s it for now,

Happy writing,

Joanne.
